The body of the late Cedric Babu, son of former Kampala Central Member of Parliament Francis Babu, arrived at Entebbe International Airport this afternoon, marking the beginning of a series of final tributes to the prominent sports and media personality.
A somber mood engulfed the airport as family members, friends, and dignitaries gathered to receive the body. From Entebbe, the remains were transported to Uganda Funeral Services in Bukoto, where arrangements are underway ahead of tomorrow’s public viewing.

According to the family, Cedric Babu’s body will lie in repose at Lugogo Indoor Stadium on Thursday, where sports lovers, fans, and colleagues will have an opportunity to pay their last respects.
Babu was widely celebrated for his contributions to Uganda’s sports and entertainment sectors, notably as a media executive and advocate for youth empowerment through sports.
Funeral arrangements are ongoing, with a large turnout expected at Lugogo as the nation continues to mourn his untimely passing.
