The Engineers Registration Board (ERB) has suspended Engineer Mubiru Frederick from practicing for one year over allegations of professional misconduct.
In an official statement released by the Board and signed by Eng. Namugera Ronald, the ERB Registrar, Mubiru was cited for unprofessional handling of several structural engineering projects under his supervision.
“Following investigations, the Board found that a number of projects executed by Eng. Mubiru fell short of acceptable engineering standards,” the statement read. “This conduct violates the professional code and ethical obligations expected of registered engineers.”
The suspension, which took effect in April 2025, will run until April 24, 2026. However, the Board noted that the timeline is conditional. Mubiru must submit satisfactory evidence demonstrating that he has taken adequate remedial measures to address the professional lapses cited.
While the statement did not name specific projects or clients affected, the ERB emphasized its commitment to maintaining high standards within the engineering profession, adding that such disciplinary actions are meant to uphold public safety and professional integrity.
This suspension serves as a warning to all practicing engineers to adhere strictly to the standards and ethics of the profession, according to the Board.
