Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has rewarded customers with prizes worth UGX 254 million through its ongoing Laga Swagga promotion.
The campaign, which aims to thank loyal customers, has attracted over 360,000 participants in just seven weeks.
The promotion, tied to purchases of Uganda Waragi, Bond 7, V&A, and Gilbeys, has sparked excitement nationwide.
Winners have emerged from major towns including Kampala, Jinja, Mbale, Gulu, Mbarara, Hoima, Fort Portal, and Arua.
Hillary Baguma, UBL’s Brand Manager for Main Spirits, expressed delight with the enthusiastic response from customers.
“We are thrilled with the level of engagement Laga Swagga has generated so far. It’s heartwarming to see our customers happily enjoying the rewards, and we encourage everyone to keep participating. We still have five weeks left, and there are plenty of prizes to be won, including the grand prize of UGX 50 million,” Baguma said.
Customers can participate in the promotion by purchasing Uganda Waragi Premium, Coconut, Lemon and Ginger, Bond 7, Gilbeys, or V&A, and submitting a unique code found under the bottle cap via SMS to 6688.
Each entry qualifies for instant cash prizes and a chance to win larger rewards in weekly draws, aired every Thursday on NBS, NTV, Bukedde TV, and Galaxy TV.
One of the recent winners, Shafiq Kyewalabye, a boda boda rider from Nansana, expressed his surprise and joy after winning UGX 500,000. “At first, I didn’t believe it when I got the call, but it was real! I got my money, and I encourage everyone to participate. You could be the next winner, just like me,” Kyewalabye said.
To date, the Laga Swagga promotion has distributed UGX 230 million in airtime and UGX 24.5 million in weekly cash prizes. With five weeks remaining, UBL continues to offer customers across Uganda the chance to win more cash, airtime, and other exciting prizes. Participants are reminded to be over 18 years of age and to drink responsibly.
