Africa Coffee Park has officially launched its first line of coffee products, a milestone that is expected to significantly boost Uganda’s coffee sector and position the country more competitively in global markets.
The products, unveiled during International Coffee Day celebrations at Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo District, include roasted ground coffee, roasted beans, drip coffee, and capsules.
According to Nelson Tugume, the Chief Executive Officer of Inspire Africa Group, the products have already begun to gain traction internationally.

“Our aim is to create a premium Ugandan coffee brand that can compete globally while supporting local farmers. This is just the beginning of transforming our coffee sector into a world-class industry,” Tugume said.
Chief Justice Alfonse Owinyi-Dollo, who presided over the launch, hailed the initiative as a sign of innovation and progress in Uganda’s agricultural sector. He encouraged more Ugandans to take up coffee farming, noting that it has the potential to lift communities out of poverty if value addition is prioritized.
“Coffee is one of our country’s greatest resources. If we support it with innovation and commitment, it can transform lives. I urge Ugandans to embrace coffee farming and investment in this sector,” Dollo remarked.

The Chief Justice also called for the development of stronger laws to protect and support local investors, particularly those in agriculture. He noted that gaps in the current legal framework continue to limit economic growth and discourage investment.
“Some of our existing laws do not create a conducive environment for local investors. This must change if we are to realize sustainable development,” he added.
The launch of Africa Coffee Park’s new line of products marks a significant step in value addition and positions Uganda as a stronger player in the global coffee trade.
