dfcu Bank has partnered with Double Q Company Limited to help Ugandan businesses and individuals acquire commercial vehicles, construction equipment, passenger electric vehicles and forklifts without the burden of large upfront capital payments.
The partnership, launched at the Double Q showroom in Bugolobi, Kampala, combines dfcu Bank’s vehicle and asset financing expertise with Double Q’s range of globally recognised brands and insurance support from ICEA LION General Insurance.
Under the arrangement, customers purchasing eligible commercial vehicles and equipment from Double Q can access financing of up to 90%, subject to dfcu Bank’s approval, with repayment periods of up to five years. Selected passenger and electric vehicles qualify for financing of up to 100%, with repayment periods of up to seven years.
The package also includes insurance options, dealership discounts, priority allocation on selected vehicles, maintenance support and extended warranty benefits.
The partnership targets businesses seeking to preserve working capital while investing in productive assets. Micro, small and medium enterprises account for about 90% of Uganda’s private sector production and employ more than 2.5 million people, making access to vehicles and equipment critical to business expansion.
“Asset finance is not simply a loan product, it is a growth tool,” said Gloria Namutebi, Head of Vehicle and Asset Finance at dfcu Bank. She said the financing enables businesses to acquire productive assets without draining cash needed for day-to-day operations, while also supporting green financing for electric and hybrid vehicles.
The available range includes the GWM Tank 500, GWM P300 SX pickup and HAVAL H6 GT Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, as well as SINOTRUK commercial trucks, XCMG construction and mining equipment and Heli electric forklifts.
dfcu Bank’s Executive Director and Chief Corporate & Institutional Banking Officer, Kate Kiiza, said the partnership will support investment across logistics, construction, manufacturing, agriculture and trade.
Double Q Managing Director Bruce Lin Yu said the financing arrangement will make modern, fuel-efficient and reliable vehicles and equipment more accessible to businesses seeking to improve productivity and returns on investment.
