President Museveni has called on the youth to hold leaders accountable and demand for service provision.
This while meeting with over 100 ghetto youth leaders who are also the heads of the 12 ghetto SACCOs in Kampala Metropolitan Area, Wakiso and Mukono at State House Entebbe.
During the meeting, the President underscored the role of the ghetto public in the liberation of Uganda and assured them that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government is pro- people that emphasizes politics of interest and works for all Ugandans.
According to the President, the challenges of the ghetto communities started when the elite failed to deal with the uneducated who are weak in holding their elected leaders accountable, underscoring the need for them to advocate for free education for all and prosperity for all as well as embracing government poverty alleviation programs.

The beneficiaries of the SACCOs are from; Rubaga Kakeeka Zone dwellers, Kasangati Ghetto Community, Kampala Central Division, Nakawa Division, Makindye East, Kawempe South, Makindye west, Kawempe North, Mukono industrial, Kasokoso, Nansana division and Masajja Para Zone ghetto in Makindye.
