Celebrated gospel music, Maverick City Music and Kirk Franklin is coming to Uganda in what has been dubbed as Kingdom World Tour.
The renowned American contemporary worship collective, is set to perform at Makerere University Main Sports ground this August as part of their highly anticipated gospel concert.
Fans will look forward to experiencing popular hits such as ‘Jireh,’ ‘Promises,’ ‘Firm Foundation,’ and ‘Refiner’ live at the grounds on 16th August, with the concert kicking off at 9pm.
The event will feature a special headlining performance by Kirk Franklin, a renown gospel singer beloved by the Christian community and others like Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Esther Chungu, Chandler Moore, Pompi, Naomi Raine, Tim Godfrey, Proclaim and others.
Maverick City Music and Kirk Franklin have rapidly transcended traditional genre and cultural boundaries, captivating audiences worldwide with their innovative sounds.
Tickets are currently available for purchase, with general admission starting at UGX 50,000(Silver), UGX 150,000(Gold) and VVIP tickets at UGX 250,000, inclusive of meet-and-greet.
The concert is expected to draw a large crowd indicating the growing popularity of contemporary gospel music.
Meanwhile, there will not be tickets being sold at the gate according to the Kampala organizers.
